Urethral Play & Urophilia
It’s about the time for the latest installment in this series. I’m giving you a run down of a variety of kinks and fetishes, from A-Z. In this ‘U’ post it will be Urethral Play and Urophilia . The wonderful world of kink and fetish is incredibly varied and interesting. You never know, you might just stumble across something that takes your fancy. At the very least, it will make for some fun reading.
A quick reminder, a kink is something you especially enjoy, and may add an extra element of sexiness to a situation. On the other hand, a fetish is an object, action or desire that needs to be present in order to achieve sexual satisfacion.
Kinks especially are tricky to define, because one person’s kink can be someone else’s norm. Fetishes are easier to pick out and can range from the vanilla to the more peculiar. Let’s dive in and learn together. Today we will cover some of the U’s.
Urethral Play
Urethral Play, also known as cock stuffing or urethral sounding is the practice of inserting objects into the urethra for sexual gratification. The urethra on both men and women is lined with super sensitive nerve endings. When stimulated they can feel extremely pleasureable. Urethral play isn’t without risks though. The possibility of injury, infection and potenital trauma are very real, so this kind of play needs to be handled with care.
Urethral Play can fall under medical play but can just as easy fall under BDSM play too. There is somewhat of a power play scenario involved between the person administering and the person recieving sounding. Partners enjoy the level of trust between one another when taking part in sounding.
Men tend to be the ones indulging in urethral play, However, women using sounding devices, whilst less common, is still something some like to do. For women, the area is even smaller than on a man so great care needs to be taken here too.
Why try Urethral Play?
People who enjoy the activity describe sounding as exquisite. A pleasure/pain that you can’t experience any other way. It is believed the feeling can be quite addictive.
People report using all kinds of objects to indulge in sounding, such as knitting needles, thermometers and small anal beads which are all very inadvisable. If you choose to practice sounding, it is imperative that you use proper medical grade sounding toys. This delicate area needs to be treated with respect. You need to make sure the instruments you are using can be sterilized easily and are the correct shape and size to be navigating this area.
If you choose to try this, do your research, take things slowly, stop if it feels too painful and use bucket loads of lubricant. After play make sure you thoroughly clean your instruments with a toy cleaner. Safe play is the best play.

Urophilia
Urophilia, otherwise known as watersports or piss play is when someone derives sexual gratifaction/excitement from the smell, sight and even consumption of urine.
Fans of urophilia describe it as an erotic experience.
When people talk about watersports, our minds usually go to golden showers, where one person pees on the other. Now whilst this is defintely one of the more popular side of urophilia, there are in fact many ways that people with this kink or fetish can find satisfaction.
Public urination can be a real turn on, whether that is urinating publicy yourself knowing you are being watched or getting your jollies frequenting the public urinal to see or hear others taking a leak.
Golden showers are usually a stepping stone into more advanced piss play. Some love it so much that a shower just won’t do, they actually want to bathe in urine. The warm feeling, the pungent smell, all add to an overwhelming sense of comfort, joy and sexual satisfaction.
Wetting oneself or seeing someone wet themself can be stimulating; soiled clothing, the look and the smell can all be a huge turn on for a urophile.
Categorizing Urophilia
As with most kinks and or fetishes, Urophilia can also fall into BDSM where some enjoy inflicting or being inflicted with incontinence. This would be where someone is denied use of the bathroom whilst consuming a large amount of fluids. They would be desperate to relieve themselves but could derive pleasure from the uncomfortable feeling of desperately needing to pee and not being able to. This would fall into humilation when you no longer have control of of your bladder and end up soiling yourself.
Urophilia is actually quite common amongst kinks and fetishes. A lot of people might be shy to admit to a preference for watersports but if it interests you, have a conversation with your partner, they might be feeling the same way you do.
