Threesomes & Temperature Play

It’s time for the latest installment in this kinky series. I’m giving you a run down of a variety of kinks and fetishes, from A-Z. In this ‘T’ post it will be Threesomes and Temperature Play The wonderful world of kink and fetish is incredibly varied and interesting. You never know, you might just stumble across something that takes your fancy. At the very least, it will make for some fun reading.

A quick reminder, a kink is something you especially enjoy, and may add an extra element of sexiness to a situation. On the other hand, a fetish is an object, action or desire that needs to be present in order to achieve sexual satisfacion.

Kinks especially are tricky to define, because one person’s kink can be someone else’s norm. Fetishes are easier to pick out and can range from the vanilla to the more peculiar. Let’s dive in and learn together. Today we will cover some of the T’s.

Threesomes

Threesomes are the most common sexual fantasy for both men and women. A threesome would most likely fall into the kink category, in that those participating in it find it fun and sexy and sometimes once they have experienced it don’t really feel the need to do it again, unless the situation happens to arise again. However, the odd person who may have a fetish, therefore needing another person present for sexual encounters would most likely fall into polyamory, which is a whole other subject altogether.

Threesomes are one of the sexual kinks that are most likely not to turn out as good as the fantasy. People build up the thought in their heads but the reality is often nowhere near as good.

Some people find when it comes down to it they have performance issues. They might be excited but having another person in the room could make you get to in your head and then you can’t perform like you had planned. Nerves and jealousy can also ruin the fantasy.

In order for a threesome to be successful, communication is key. Discuss your expectaions and your boundries.

A lot of long term couples decide to try a threesome as a way to inject some fun and spice into the relationship. Others just want to experience it once, to tick it off their sexual bucket list.

If all parties are ready, willing and have communicated well, a threesome could be amazing but prepare for the fact that more times than not the reality won’t live up to the amazing fantasy in your head.

Temperature Play

Temperature Play is a form of BDSM, otherwise known as sensual play where substances and or objects are used to stimulate the body’s neuroreceptors for heat and cold, causing an erotic and sensual effect.

Sensual play in regards to heat and cold can be pretty simple. Something like using an ice cube to brush your partners nipples, or to put in the nape of their neck. Kissing them all over with an ice cube in your mouth. For heat it could be something like using a candle. There are special massage candles that burn at a lower degree than ordinary candles, meaning you can easily drip delicously warm wax onto your body. Or some like to go a step further and use real candle, this can however cause burns and should be done with extreme caution.

Other things like whipped cream straight from the fridge, melted butter or even steamed or chilled vegetables are sometimes used.

The simplest and easiest way to get your temperature play jollys is to treat yourself to some metal or glass sex toys. These toys are built to withstand temperature play. You can place these toys in water on the stove and heat them up or just run hot water from the tap over them. If cold is your thing, you could pop them in the freezer until you are ready to use them, or maybe the fridge if exteremly cold isn’t your thing.

This type of play can be fun and in most cases is harmless. Always make sure when indulging in any kind of BDSM play that you commuinicate beforehand to make sure you are both on the same page. It also never hurts to have a safe word in place before any type of BDSM practice occurs.
