The Benefits of Orgasm

Orgasms not only feel great, they also have tremendous health benefits, positively affecting your mind and body.

Feeling a little bit down?

Feeling stressed or anxious?

Have a headache?

Believe it or not, orgasms can help with all of the above. Reaching climax releases a powerful hormone called oxytocin (a natural pain reliever and mood booster). As a result, after climaxing, your headache can magically disappear, so having a headache is not an excuse you can use to avoid sex any longer!

If you are feeling stressed or anxious, sex and or masturbation are probably the last things you feel like indulging in, but take some time to de-stress and unwind. Take a nice hot shower and use a relaxing shower gel or even better run yourself a bubble bath, light some scented candles and bring yourself to orgasm, either with your hand or by using a toy. In fact why not climax in the shower or bath using a waterproof vibe?  Or orgasm with your lover, trust me you will feel so much better afterwards.

The post sex glow is a real thing, orgasms and plenty of them will leave you with shinier hair and better skin.  And, if you are not prone to the gym, you will be pleased to know that sex can burn up to 100 calories in a 25 minute session (including foreplay) and masturbation can also burn up to a whopping 150 calories, so not only will your hair and skin look great your body will benefit too.

Kegel Balls

When a woman orgasms her pelvic floor muscles contract. Healthy pelvic floor tone makes sex feel better for both you and your partner, leading to easier and more intense orgasms. So, the more you orgasm the better the work out for your vagina. When your not orgasming you can still work your pelvic floor muscles with kegel balls. You insert these for just half an hour a day, and not only does it feel great it works your muscles as soon as you introduce them, and you don’t have to do a thing!

Lastly, if you are having trouble sleeping, rather than reaching for a book which will keep your mind awake, reach for your favourite toy. When you orgasm you release prolactin, which makes you sleepy. Thus ensuring a fabulous nights sleep and an energetic glow when you awaken.

The benefits of orgasm, as you can see, are many. So waste no time in getting to know your body better, and get to know your lover’s body better too. Your health (and your partner) will thank you for it.
